You'll shoot your eye out kid!

Has your child ever blown you away with amazement??? Lucas did! I was so suprised at how well he did on his first experience with a BB Gun. We set up a cup and box in the garage and away he went with hit after hit. He held the gun properly, aimed, fired, hit! I was shocked. Hes a natural with targets. Im glad he has found something he enjoys and is good at. Just thought id share his natural born talent with you :)

Field Trip!

I was happy to be picked to go on Lukes field trip for school. I got to meet alot of moms and spend one on one time with my "pookey bear" Mrs. Ogden is his teacher and she is awesome! Shes a really great teacher. We went to Glazebrook Park in Godfrey. They learned about plants and played games and made little projects. My BFF heathers little girl was there too in another class, so I got double lucky to have her in my group too. Lucas was happy she was with us too. There buds and get along great! Her name is Jaden. As you can see, it wasnt very sunny but turned out to be a fun day. We had Lunch, with was roasted hotdogs and chips and apples or carrots. Then for dessert we had Smores!!!!! I think all the kids loved it!

My Dogs...

I really love my dogs. But when I wake up at 10 am because I stayed up late watching movies... I really don't feel like chasing them thru the neighborhood in my pj's. I don't know why I care, everyone is used to seeing me walk my son to the bus stop in my pj's every morning. Just today was not a day that I felt like chasing after them. I mean, come on Lucky and Linus, cant you just give your mommy a break and come back home when I want you too??? Yeah, I'm laughing too. But anyways, I love them and in my opinion, boxers are the greatest! There beautiful dogs, loyal, loving and very protective (ask my mail lady). Or ask the young African American man who was going door to door selling windows... Lucky backed him down the deck before I had a chance to do anything and growled at him. His exact words were "I guess he doesn't like dark meat?" Sorry dude, he doesn't like any stranger in his yard.

So this morning after I got them back in the house, I made breakfast and got dressed. I didn't want to do this, but I had too. I extended the electric fence from the back yard to now the front. So they have range in both parts. I really didn't want them in the front, but with summer coming who likes to be running around in the back swinging and playing and step in dog poop? My kids always step in it and I'm to lazy to pick it up as often as it needs to be done. So its in the front now and my dogs are very smart. I didn't even have to explain to them to be careful. I put there collars on them and opened the door. They knew exactly what was going on. Linus wasn't thinking and darted but lucky is older and knows better. He took his time and tested the waters. Linus obviously was the first to get bit, and lucky thought he would be smart and try to jump the wire and got it. Now they just sit on the deck looking sad. I think the cats next door know whats going on too. They take there time now walking past my yard just looking at the dogs. You can almost hear what they are thinking "neener neener neener, you cant get me" Lucky still gives his low growl and Linus just prances around. My dogs are great. Its funny to watch them. The dogs love the kids too. I hate to have to put a shock collar on them, but its that or doggy jail and me with fines. I prefer to keep them here since we are all so attached to them and love them dearly. Just look at how cute they are!!! Oh p.s. the dogs did get mad at me for putting the shock collar on them... Linus peed on my pillow and Lucky peed on my rug... NOT so cute...

Great Week!

As you all know, I sell Mary Kay so I worked for like 4 hours total in a 3 day period and sold 324.00 worth stuff!!! How cool is that??? A very very easy 160.00 Here is a pic of me playing with some colors... What do you think?

These colors are very light compared to what I normally wear...

In the first picture I am wearing bronzer. Iv never used before and discovered I love it! Gives off a pretty glow. I love make up!

If anyone wants a facial and free make over, let me know. I would be happy to polish you up.

Lets see... I didnt really do much of anything else this weekend. Just sort of sat around and was lazy. Easter is coming soon so I did fight with people to win some Ghostbuster stuff. It must be pretty popular because these used playsets are selling for unbelievable amounts of money! I did end up winning a set but it had no figures so I purchased them seprately. Im sure my kids will love on easter! Lucas is on Spring Break so its nice that Jacob and Nathan have someone to play with. Im trying to get things done here at home, and with him im sure it will happen.

On another note, my BFF is in Florida!!! Lucky duck. I miss her so much but I know she is loving where she is. Im sure ill get a tshirt or something from the Ron Jon place, which is where she stays :) Miss you feather!!!

STL DigiScrap Gathering

My BFF Heather is always coming up with these great things for us to do. This adventure was going to STL for a digi scrap get together. You bring your laptop and work on your computer together. Hummie put this together and it was great!!! I had so much fun getting together and meeting some neat designers out there. Im the one always out there grabbing the great freebies and using them. Now, I got to meet some of them that do a wonderful job of putting there great ideas into layouts, papers, ribbons, ect. Big clap for them all!

Heather picked me up around 9, maybe a little later. We got on the interstate and drove in the misty rain. We finally made it to where we were going. I was hungry and needed to eat before we joined the other girls. So we found a popular doughnut shop. yum!

If you guess Krispy Kreme, your right! There was a very nice lady there that offered to take our picture together. We decided at that moment, we were tourist!!! Tourist from IL. :) So after we had our breakfast, custard filled chocolate glazed doughnuts and coffee, we headed over to the hotel. Our room wasnt ready yet so we grabbed just our scrapping supplies, which was a laptop and some cords and headed to the Monticello room...

This was great! Tables set up and all you had to do was find a seat and start scrapping. For me this was a little difficult. I had a netbook with a linux operating system and was using GIMP for the digi scrapping. I think for not knowing what the heck I was doing I did fabulous for my first page :) Kudos for me! I normally use the desktop at home and PSE7. Windows is easier, but I like a challenge. So now, next time I go, ill have it all figured out and wont have to spend half the day figuring out how to use it. I still had tons of fun.

So during the day we broke for lunch. I forgot the name of the place we ate at, but it was there in the hotel. Some irish pub.

So after lunch we finished up our pages... or for me, a page. I used the ShabbyPrincess' newest kit.

We took a group shot before we all left at 4. I thought this turned out super cute!

I had such a blast and so glad I got to meet all these people. Me and heather could have fun in a cardboard box I think. We are going to try that! hahah :)

Mary Kay

Lets see, lets see. Where do I begin. It was great! I had 11 people and had 723.00 in sales!!! Things went pretty good for me. I love Mary Kay. Iv never found a product like it. Iv tried several different products and in the end resulted to using soap... Not good. My face always looked powdery and cakey from my make up and my skin would flake from being dry. So when I used the miracle set for the first time I was amazed!!! I couldnt believe id finally found something that worked for me. Its easy to promote something when you really believe in it. When I first started this, I wasnt sure what my plan or goal would be. I know now that I want to be good at something in my life. Iv always done my friends hair and make up for events in High School. It never dawned on me once to become a consultant of some kind doing something I liked doing. And here I am. All I can say, is I wish id made the decision sooner. I love being around other girls who love make up as much as I do. The skin care is great as well, but I love playing with colors and different ways to apply the colors. So wish me luck on my business!!! And if you ever need someone to help you out with skin care and make up, im your girl!

Heathers Birthday Weekend

Me and my best bud went to Springfield IL for her birthday. She had some gift certificates to BJ's Salon there. So I thought it would be fun to book a room and stay the night and get pampered the next day. We had so much fun!!! So heather comes to pick me up around 4pm on friday. I have just 2 small walmart sacks (my dogs peed on my good bags so I was left with plastic or paper) that I put in her trunk. Um, heather had like 4 suitcases... I was confused and amazed at the same time she could pack so much for one night. Let me tell you, that girl was ready for a tornado!!! She had everything packed!!! I hardly pack anything and she packs her house. This is what is so hilarious. Of all that stuff, she packs one pair of underwear. Even I was prepared with 2. We cracked up because she had probably 5 outfits, swimsuits, shoes, even a few bras but one pair of panties :) I guess maybe you had to be there if your not cracking up at the moment. But back to the fun, we had tons. We went to the hotel resturaunt and it was very bright and clean and fancy. Me and heather sit down at a table that is 10 feet long (not really, but seemed like it because when we tried to talk quietly we couldnt hear each other) and made for 2 people. One on each end. Everyone in there is quiet and refined. And here is 2 girls just wanting some junky fried food. Me and heather try to talk but we cant. She cant hear me and I cant hear her. So I say something funny and she cracks up laughing and it echoes everywhere. Everyone sorta turns and looks which to me is even funnier. Im sure these OLD people think were on crack or something. So we ask the waitress if we can go to the lounge area. YES! so much more relaxing and we can sit next to each other and talk. There was a VA convention going on so lots of old people were worming around us. Quit interesting actually. But we order or bar food which was.... Mini Egg rolls, Chicken wings, Calamari, and shrimp cocktail. They called it plane food because you got just a few of each for 3 bucks for each dish. So we get one of each and share it all. It was a really nice birthay dinner hehehe were not into fancy meals, we like our fried bar food. But they didnt have mushrooms :( Oh well. We hung out all night and talked and laughed and then went to bed. Next morning went to salon and had the best pedicure in the world!!! Then I had my first eye brow waxing.. I know I know, first time. I didnt cry even though she did get some tender spots. But after we got done, I felt great! My toenails were all painted pretty and my brows looked amazing!!! heather looked cute too when we were done. Time to go home... cry...sniff...sniff... Iv had so much fun I wish we could have stayed an extra night. But I do miss my babies at home. So we stop at El Mezcal in town first and have some good food. Heather is so great, she takes me to hit n run for a humdinger before I go home. Now thats a friend people. Someone who gets you a soda, but not just any soda, the best drink in town!

Mary Kay

Wow, so I went to a Mary Kay party and signed up to be a consultant. Funny thing, no one was surprised :) I plan on just using the discount for myself and nothing more. But my husband seems to think since I signed up I should do a few parties. I have had a few of my friends say that they would love to have a party for me. So I might see how this goes and really get into. Never know, I might make lots of money every month! I wanted the timewise set which was 106.00 and to sign up was only 100.00!!! How could I not sign up??? Need a facial, call me!

I just had to add this video!

I forgot to show you some cars getting smashed and a burn out :)

Monster Truck Show!!!

OK so we went to the Monster Truck show in Springfield IL This was soooo cool. I know what some of you are thinking... why not STL??? OK so Springfield is about double time away, but I didn't have to deal with Mardi Gras and its bigger and more people and crowded plus I couldn't get seats... So this was the next best thing and it was amazing!!! If you have kids and don't want to sit for 6 hours, then the drive is well worth it. Better seats, nice staff, super easy to find, no crowds!!! This show lasted 2 hours. They had 5 Monster Trucks. To me it was more like an under dog show. No big names like Gravedigger, or King Kong, but still a great show. Totally awesome and my kids were great. No fighting, no yelling, no crying to go home. They each got a t-shirt and a snow cone. How cool is that. So here is a couple videos so you can see just how close we were. The video on my camera takes great shots, and I was not zooming in. It was awesome!!!!!! If we ever go again, we decided that Springfield was the best option for us.
